Design 1 Kitchen & Bath

At Design 1 Kitchen & Bath, we believe a home renovation should be exciting — not stressful. Founded by Patrick Small in 2007 and headquartered in Bedford, MA, we are a full-service design/build firm with over 40 years of combined industry experience, serving homeowners throughout the Greater Boston area. What makes us different is simple: we handle everything under one roof. From the very first design conversation to the final walk-through, our in-house team of talented designers and licensed project managers guides you every step of the way. Our 3,000-square-foot showroom features over 30 kitchen and bath displays, so you can see, touch, and experience your options before a single nail is driven. We finalize every design decision and material selection before construction ever begins — eliminating the surprises and budget overruns that plague so many remodeling projects. We specialize in kitchen and bathroom remodels, whole-home renovations, additions, and new construction. Whether you're dreaming of a complete gut renovation or a thoughtful refresh, our approach is always the same: listen carefully, design creatively, and build with precision. Personalized solutions — every project is tailored to how you actually live in your home. Our work has been recognized with the Best of Houzz award for Client Satisfaction for over a decade, and we've been named to the Qualified Remodeler Top 500 list for six consecutive years. We've also earned multiple NARI Contractor of the Year awards from the Eastern Massachusetts chapter, recognizing excellence in both kitchen and bath design. We'd love to learn about your project. Stop by our showroom or schedule a free in-home consultation — and let's build something you'll love for years to come.
