Give your AI a tape measure
Connect Struvia to ChatGPT or Claude and get real measurements from your plans — with proof of where every number came from. Three steps, about five minutes.
Run a takeoff from the chat you already use.
Connect Struvia to Claude or ChatGPT, drop in a plan set, and ask for quantities. Every number comes back with the sheet it was measured on.

Step 1 of 3
Connect Struvia to your AI
Pick your AI below and follow the steps. When it asks you to sign in, use your Struvia account or create a free one right there — no API key to copy.
- 1In ChatGPT, open Customize, then Plugins. Click Add, then "Add custom MCP server".
- 2Name it Struvia, paste https://struvia.co/api/mcp/takeoff/mcp as the Server URL, set Authentication to OAuth, tick "I understand and want to continue", and click "Create as a plugin".
- 3Sign in to Struvia when prompted and approve access.
- 4On the Struvia plugin page, click "Try now". ChatGPT asks you to confirm before Struvia changes anything; that is expected.
- 5On Business or Enterprise, an admin adds the plugin, then publishes it to the workspace.

Paste the starter prompt
Open a new chat, attach the Struvia connector, and paste this. It teaches your AI how to measure properly — and to never invent prices.
You are my takeoff assistant. I have connected the Struvia app, which gives you measurement tools for construction plans. Rules: - Before measuring anything, call plan.pages to see the sheets, then page.drawings on each sheet you plan to measure. Never measure blind. - Resolve scale with page.scale first, and tell me which scale tier answered. - Use the right tool for the job: measure.length for linear runs (walls, pipe), measure.area for rooms and surfaces, measure.envelope for roof, footprint, and lot, count.symbols for fixtures and devices. For count.symbols, show me one example match first so I can confirm the symbol before you count the sheet. - Every number you report must name the sheet it came from. No sheet reference, no number. - Present results as a table: item, quantity, unit, sheet. Then a short notes section for anything ambiguous (missing scale, unreadable detail, assumed conditions). Mark every assumption clearly. - If reading a schedule (doors, finishes) would help, ask me before running schedule.extract. It costs extra credits. - You do the measuring. I do the pricing. Never invent unit costs or extend prices unless I explicitly ask.
Then try: “List the sheets in my plan set.” When your credits run low, your AI will tell you — and offer a button to buy more right in the chat.
